Understanding Two-factor Authentication!

Updated over a week ago

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is the best way to add an extra layer of security to your Zignaly account.

In this article:

What is 2FA?

2FA is a security measure that requires users to provide two forms of identification to access their accounts. The first form is a password, and the second is a one-time code each time you sign in.

Enabling 2FA enhances the security of an account, making it much more difficult for hackers to gain access. It also helps protect against online threats such as phishing, hacking, and identity theft.

Activating it can give investors peace of mind knowing their accounts are well-protected. With so many online threats today, protecting your accounts is essential. 2FA is an easy and effective way to do so, and it's highly recommended that users enable it on all their accounts. Don't wait until it's too late – enable 2FA today to keep your accounts secure.

To enable 2FA, go to your “Settings” tab and select “Two-Factor Authentication”:

Next, download Google or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone or computer. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code Zignaly has provided:

Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, then click Enable 2FA.

Lost access to your 2FA?

If you can’t access your 2FA, please contact support and have the following documents ready:

1. A clear photo of yourself holding an ID or passport, and a piece of paper with the text "Zignaly" and today's date (YYYY/MM/DD).

2. A picture of the same ID as clear as possible.

3. Last but not least, provide as much information as possible about your account. Things such as

  • Data from the deposits/withdrawals.

  • Data from services

  • References to previous support conversations (from Intercom chatbox)

  • Screenshot from emails that we have sent to you
