Understanding Two-factor Authentication!

Updated over a week ago

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is the best way to add an extra layer of security to your Zignaly account.

What is 2FA?

2FA is a security measure that requires users to provide two forms of identification to access their accounts. The first form is a password, and the second is a one-time code each time you sign in.

Enabling 2FA enhances account security, making it much more difficult for hackers to gain access. It also helps protect against online threats such as phishing, hacking, and identity theft.

Activating it can give investors peace of mind, knowing their accounts are well-protected. With so many online threats today, protecting your accounts is essential. 2FA is an easy and effective way to do so, and it's highly recommended that users enable it on all their accounts. Don't wait until it's too late – enable 2FA today to keep your accounts secure.

Steps to Enable 2FA

To enable 2FA, go to your Settings tab and select 'Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)':

Next, download Google or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone or computer. Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code Zignaly has provided:

Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, then click Enable 2FA.

Lost access to your 2FA?

If you can’t access your 2FA, please get in touch with support and have the following documents ready:

1. A clear photo of yourself holding the ID you verified your account with (KYC) and a piece of paper with the text "Zignaly" and today's date (YYYY/MM/DD).

2. A picture of the same ID as straightforward as possible.

3. Last, provide as much information as possible about your account, such as:

  • Data from previous deposits and withdrawals.

  • Data from services.

  • References to previous Support conversations (from Intercom chatbox)

  • Screenshots from emails that we have sent to you.
